midnight i think it was sara's birthday i had a slurpee, you had a beer i hadn't seen you in almost a year we left went for a walk in the back lane you'd had too much, you stumbled around tripped on a tree stump and landed face-down c'mon wake up! i think it's time we talked it out cause we destroyed so many places that we knew nothing about. c'mon wake up! i think it's time we talked it out cause you're the one thing that i want to have that i'd be best without midnight i think it was just about xmas "this party's loud," you said with a smile, "let's find a quiet place for a while." we left found a dark room down the hallway i was too nervous to say a thing and then i noticed that you were napping c'mon wake up! i think it's time we talked it out...

that's not a good idea... you could lose an eye like that. look out for your brother he's such a copycat. i want to hold you near like the time we fell away but you wanna fight honey, you want bile well that's ok chorus: but i should tell you that i've got a file folder that's as thick as my thighs and man it's full of all of the things you lied about don't make me take it out. you know i will i'll take it out okay ahem alright so it's clear we disagree you're guilty but you're pleading insanity don't kiss me out of spite that never tastes as good if you want spit, honey, you want bite well that i could - break - chorus x 2

we got 3 couples different as can be they're funny in that sarcastic way they're in their mid-20s well-dressed and sexy and they all share this big house in l.a. first we have ashley and her husband jim they're trying hard to make ends meet he's unemployed so she's paying for him while he tries to get back on his feet jim's got this real bitchy mother we'll get somebody famous as her this mother-in-law treats ashley like garbage and that's where all the humour will occur cause ashley's the nice one jim is the lazy one but they live together and we'll be on the air forever then the second couple bobby and jill they cheat on each other a lot jill's got a mean streak and she's very competitive she likes to take what she hasn't got bobby plays football professional league he's a looker and he's arrogant too jill has slept with half his team and he with the cheerleaders thus hilarity will ensue cause bobby's the jock one jill is the catty one but they live together and we'll be number one forever couple number 3 that's dee and ron she drinks all the time he's a moron that's not even counting their gay neighbour gene i swear it's the funniest 22.5 minutes you've ever seen cause dee is the drunk one ron is the stupid one but they live together and they'll be on the air forever

dear beaner 03:22
dear beaner, i'm sorry it took me so long to write to you. how's rob? say hey to your sister. what have you been up to? my fridays aren't the same without you. dear beaner, i need a vacation cause i'm stressed to the gills. in fact, my panic attacks have come back and i'm packing pills. dear beaner, i talked to marcela. she asked me how you were. i said, "she's doing just fine, but i'd give my arm to see her." these days aren't the same without you. and no one here remembers when we drove up brandon st. at night or how we used to sit and talk at perkins half the day. wo wo hoo hoo. and no one here remembers when i stacked your peanut butter jars or how you made me poke your neck at boring meetings. wo wo hoo hoo. and no one here remembers all the times we saw each other cry or how you used to laugh at all my awful denys jokes. wo wo hoo hoo!

somehow i knew that you'd come around nothing is black + white when you need the cash + everyone gives it a shot @ least once these days, anyway you made your bed, now i'm lying there honey, there's room for two + i won't hog the blankets + maybe in time you can sleep here without all those nightmares i know that we've got our differences i know that i'm way deeper than you in this i'm starting to work on beginning to become o.k. with that sometimes the way that you look @ me seems like you can't believe the mess you got into but once in a while there's this face that you make, i go sandwich spread ba ba ba dee dee dee etc. why are we living in winnipeg? seems like there's warmer places with way less mosquitos + low enough cost of living, i think we could make it there you say that you'd miss your family but they disowned you when you showed them my ring + your sister attempted to take off my head with a shovel sometimes i fear that you're bluffing it maybe you know how to make those green, green eyes convincing + when i wake up, you'll be gone w/my mastercard or what if you smother me in my sleep? no one would blame you much, i quite had it coming + all of the papers i'm signing would leave you a fortune ba ba ba dee dee dee oo oo oo etc. you made this bed, now we're lying here baby, there's room for two, you look good in your pj's and maybe tonight you can sleep here without any nightmares ba ba ba dee dee dee oo oo oo aah aah aah mm mm mm etc.

in the parking structure you held my hand the scary guy w/the bongos was trying to stand but we'd escape him we'd be alright against the odds we'd survive this big city night around two corners + up two ramps until our faces were level w/all the streetlamps i joked about it you smiled a crack i stared so long @ you but i can't bring that memory back the car was nowhere you held your breath echoes of bongoman's voice singing songs of our death zapped all around us + closer still you were walking faster, i was trying to keep up until around the corner + down one flight "i swear we parked it there" you said + i knew you were right + you were scared then + so was i but now your frightened eyes, i can't see them hard as i try why didn't i take a picture 3 4 years later and i can't even i can't you got a face that's so hard to conjure or @ least i think you did but i can't i can't even why didn't i take your picture then?! you had a migraine + i had my bad knee we got to talking + things turned to andrew quickly you blamed him for this i called you mad you went on ranting until i compared you to my dad and you were cornered and you backed down a freezing wind made its way through our concrete downtown your nabob tongue + your mint shampoo the sound of bongos yeah but just no mental image of you

déjà vu 09:04
when he said that it was déja vu did you think he'd say it if it wasn't true and did you think "well that's long overdue" cause we were kissing on the day you wed and you could smell my skin in your honeymoon bed and i know that's looping in your head you know that we were seventeen did you think he'd say something he didn't mean like an insincere a.t. machine if he told you he was more than fine would you think it was nothing but another line in the great design's acute decline now it's red now it's blue now it's a thing he won't do now it's green now it's grey now it's a ticket away alright now and a 1-2-3 let's give hell to the enemy give that terrorist what he deserves run run run 'til the coast is clear fight fight fight 'til you have no fear give that terrorist what he deserves if you're tough you know what to do if you're soft we can toughen you give that terrorist what he deserves put your conscience to sleep tonight it's not hard when you know you're right give that terrorist what he deserves
